HPCR P0148 Code
HPCR P0148 Code
I just threw a HPCR P0148 code, i 'm assuming it is a "high rail pressure code". Can anything be done to eliminate this completely? Besides from keeping my foot out of it.
This afternoon I ran a buddy in a Chevy and that's when the light popped on. I installed my RP & FP gauges last night but it's hard to watch them and drive at the same time.
Maybe I was completely draining my rail??

NOPE... not draining your rail. It is a High Rail Pressure code. Are you controling RP with the smarty too? The DR. P box already does rail pressure so I would not use the smarty for rail pressure too. Also, if your on a wot run and let go of the pedal you will see high pressure spikes. The only way around that is to have the HPRV in and remove the rail cap if you have one. Injectors are more expensive to replace than a HPRV. There is a company that can set the HPRV to open at a higer pressure while not killing your injectors with pressure spikes.

I have the Smarty on lvl 7, so I think it is actually adding RP. What's the deal on the rail cap and the HPRV?
I might of know why it popped the code. We were doing runs from a dead stop, then a 30mph roll then a 55mph roll, all within a short time while shutting down at 80mph. I bet the spikes occurred then.
