(read my previous posts, I run 52 psi with a two stage NOS system with no problems, plenty of fuel, plenty of NOS, stock CP3, stock head bolts. I have been doing NOS for over 6 years on diesels, and I know what to do.)
NO... LOL on you.... I've been running the Diesel Dynamics pump and big line kit, as my sig states! I've been doing this for a few years too bud...

The CLDL/TST stack provides ALOT of timing, and when mixed with N20, you can get alot of timing rattle/backfires, even with the right amount of fuel. I'm almost positive that this is what caused mine. I guess you will see that I MIGHT know what I'm talking about in a few weeks, when my next string of mods is done...

That TST/BDDL stack may very well be your problem when you add N20 to the mix. I run a similar nitrous setup as HeberRam (or so it sounds, only with smaller jets), but keep my timing a little lower than I would for an "all motor" setup. The way it is tuned right now makes for a very smooth running motor... No missing, backfires, hiccups, or surging all the way throughout the power band. There are certain ground rules to running nitrous (including running less static timing, keeping the big shots to a minimum, and not spraying too early to name a few). Like I already said, if you're having problems then you're not doing something right.

Hey all...

I know a little about whitesport600... He runs around the area where I live..

I honestly believe he knows a little about what he's talkin' about because he's got the fastest 3rd Gen in the area.

Besides that... Everybody makes a mistake and as far as I'm concerned no science is perfect.

Maybe he just ran it on the ragged edge and found the limit. From what I know of the guy.. It's no sweat off his back to break stuff. He looks at it as an excuse to go bigger.

I'm really appreciating all the great advice and knowledge.. Lets not turn this into a flame war.

Thanx!

Too Get this thread back on track..

Here is my next stack of mods I have planned..

1) FASS 150 - Will this keep my CP3 Happy and Alive? Is this all I will need to do to the fuel system for now? Or do I need to start looking for an aftermarket CP3?

2) Sled Puller 66 Turbo - Will this handle pretty much anything I will ever throw at it? How do I limit the boost with this setup? Is the wastegate now mechanical because the factory MAP sensor can only read to 40 PSI? Or do I upgrade the factory MAP and run some kind of boost controller?

Now Excess Timing is the Enemy with Nitrous Correct?? Well.. How do we know what timing we currently have in the motor as well as how do we adjust it? How do we know what is safe versus what size "Shot" we can run?

I know that in a gas car with nitrous that too much Nitrous and too much timing equals detonation.. Detonation = Busted Pistons. Is this the same on a diesel vehicle.

Get a Walbro Kit from Glacier Diesel....very very very nice product that delivers bigtime.

A 66 will not take everything...but is a very drivable single. If you want more than that...look into a Silver Bullet or a Aurura 5000 to get into the 600's.

There are several memebers that have dynoed well into the 600's with no drugs and a stock CP-3. Look att what they run.
