How much smoke with Flux 3.5's??? Don M??

Hey All...

Finally got the truck back but haven't gotten to drive it much do to crappy weather.

Should these new Flux 3.5's smoke LESS than my old DDP 110 tips?

These things are so clean that on injectors only I can't MAKE the truck smoke. No matter how hard I lug it.

With the Smarty on I still don't see that much smoke. NOTHING after my turbo is lit.

Let me know what you all think.. I'm starting to wonder if I don't have something wrong.

Your truck should smoke like a coal train With as much fuel as your running

Yeah, somethings up. I can still make mine smoke a little with just the Flux 2's and stock programming...and that's with a small set of twins too.

My 1.8s alone smoke as much as when I had the stock injectors but was at 500hp with electronics. With electronics turned up it smokes A LOT! I would think injectors twice as big should be producing a good amount of blackness.

Hey Man, where did you get the injectors? I looked through my last few months of 3.5's and there are more than a few sets.

Whats the rail pressure at idle, cruise and WOT?

I will be in and out today so I will answer as fast as possible.

I got the from John at Floor It Diesel Performance..

Like I said.. It would be awesome if I could speak with you in person as I think you may know a little about my truck. It was at Johns doing some testing with your 3.5's and 4.2's on Single pump trucks.

I ended up buying the 3.5's.

I don't have RP readings yet, but I can get them. I'll have to put my scanner on it and make some notes.

Thanx!

My 3.3's smoked a little on start up with my slightly laggy twins but they provided a slight haze all the time while going down the road....this was with the twins, ported head, big BHAF and polished exhaust manifold with a H2 Cam and springs. I did have alot more fuel pressure and volume than you though. Maybe you just have a perfectly balanced setup. Dyno it then complain. Complaining about no smoke is like complaining about a gorgeous wife..ks

I just got the Flux 2's put in mine yesterday. Took it for a good hard drive today and smoke was non existent for me as well. My stockers would smoke more. 7,000 psi at idle. Runs and sounds awesome though.

I was hoping to hear that. I could really care less about it smoking. It feels really strong.

I ran a set of the ddp110 nozzles for a short time and it would smoke a little with only the injectors. the fluxes didnt seem to on their own. my turbo is bigger than a 64mm so when you first take off from a stop light and get on the fuel heavy it will smoke pretty bad until the turbo spools. I would think running a 64 with as much fuel as you have it would smoke bad if you wanted it to. I was told to not go bigger than a flux 3.3 with a stage 2 pump so thats what I went with
