when we built the big set of twins for tasha's truck, it blew through the tranny like it wasn't even there. and this was with the tst box turned down to 4x something.

Maybe you just got a good one?

Let us know when you get to 30,000 and the engine finally starts to get broke in

From my experiences with the Juice with Attitude when my 48RE was stock, I would have to agree.

I'm on the tranny upgrade prowl now, and I've got a guy telling me he can rebuild my VB w/ a shift kit and it would be as good as any other VB, is there any truth to this? This is not a diesel shop is my concern. He does insist on another TC which is obvious.

Go to a diesel tranny builder. In my opinion they are a totally different animal. I also would drive a modified one first. You can set them up a bunch of different ways with the shifts. Do it right the first time.........if not you will only spend more in the long run and be very upset!!!!!!

With the Quad 100, I broke the overdrive unit in half. The bolts holding it to the frame held and the casing of the overdrive unit cracked.

I don’t think it was caused by the quad box. The previous owner probably bottomed out the truck and began the crack. I noticed some fluid loss when I bought it, but decided it came from the pan gasket.

Then with Quad box I just finished it off, cracking the casing all the way through. The truck is still in a trany shop in Victorville since the dealer refused my warranty.

Nice thing is now I get a very well built performance trany.

The guys working on my trany said the same thing. They build high performance trany for all applications. They said "a good piece of aluminum is a good piece of aluminum, its what is done to it that counts"

I am going with the ATS converter. Should I go all the way and get their controler as well? Any one have it? what are your thoughts of it?
