Question How much power can the Trans take?

How much power can these things handle? I got the edge Ez and it seems great still. But just won that Ramifier and was wondering if the trans can handle it on its highest dial setting? Anyone have any problems with slipping at all. Thanks P3

your tranny

You'll toast it with the Ramifier on high setting. Do a VB/TC minimum.

VB and TC will cost around $2000.00+ w/ install. Your stock converter is probably good for using the EZ on the middle settings. More than that and you will probably get some TC slippage. Mine did fine until I tried to tow w/ the EZ on level 4. I would get a lot of slippage taking off from a stop. The upgrades cured that but Bill K at DTT told me that even w/ my upgrades the trans is only good for about 350 rwhp. If you call one of the trans venders they will ask you several questions and recommend the proper upgrades for you......

Mine's just a 47re and yours is a 48re but since you're already making a lot more power you're probably still in the same boat....

UPS just delivered my Ramifier. I just spoke to Ts performance. They stated that most people run the unit at 3/4 with no problems.I asked him, will the unit fry my tranny if it's turned all the way up, he said no, not even on a stock 48re.

PThree, I hate to tell you this, but you aint driving a Ford anymore. With the Dodge and the cummins, your Power Train warranty is for 100K miles. You get a MUCH better warrant with the Dodge and Cummins than the Ford.

Correct.

I am looking at my 04.5 window tag.
it says:
7-year or 70,000 mile powertrain...
7-year or 100,000 mile Cummins diesel...
3-year or 36,000 mile basic limited...
