How far out will moto metal 957's stick out?vs stock?

so how far out will the moto metal 957 stick out on my truck. they are -12 offset and 4.5 " backspacing and they are 17"by9" . i was told they would only stick out a 1" more than stock setup. is this correct?

The rim alone will stick out 2.5 -2.75"....
The OEM wheels are around 8" wide with 6.5" backspace.

so do i take the 2.5 and add 1.1" because of the offset? i was told the moto metal 957 would only stick out another 1.1" vs my stock dodge tire setup. i have the big bushwacker flares (pocket i think) and would like the tire to be more flush with the fender.

maybe this will help...

I personally think you should have a wheel with closer to 5.5" of backspacing if you run a 12.5 wide tire?

thanks. i have that chart. when i go to column 9" and go over to 4.5" BS i get a offset of -12..which i knew already.all i wanna know roughly is if a 17"by9" rim with a offset of -12 and a backspacing of 4.5" work on my 2004.5 stock truck with no lifts/rubbing? will it be flush with the pocket flares or stick past them yet?

I give up...

What size tire?

Grab a tape measure and figure it out.

They will stick out at LEAST 2.5" farther than your OEM wheel.

With a 35 x 12.5.....It will hit the fender unless lifted.

There is a direct correlation between backspacing and offset. If you know one, you can calculate the other using the rim width. Backspacing is the meaurement, in inches, from the wheel's mounting plate to the back of the rim. Offset is the measurement, in millimeters, from the mounting plate to the centerline of the wheel. Positive is toward the front of the rim, negative toward the back.
Thinking of the stock rim which is 8" wide with 6" backspacing. When mounted on the truck, this means the back of the rim is 6" behind the face of the hub. Therefore, the front of the rim is about 2" outside the face of the hub ( 8 - 6 = 2).
With a 9" rim with 4.5" of BS, the front of the rim is 4.5" outside the hub face ( 9 - 4.5 = 4.5). That's 2.5" further out than stock.
