How Accurate is
How accurate is the Bully Dog in the 1/4 mile times? I have it set pretty much right on the nat's a** when it comes to mph. That was on Extreme setting. So are theses about right or way off?
1) 14.30 in 2 wheel drive,,,smoked the tires for about 75 ft @ 83 mph
2)13.99 in 4 Hi @ 86 mph
3)13.92 in 4 hi(spooled it up a little more) @ 91 mph
Thanks
Bill

Thats what the outlook monitor said. The question is how far off is the Bully dog or are they pretty close to being true?

I think those times are a little optimistic also. With stock tc/trans and just BD DL on Extreme(130hp or so) I would guess in the low 15s at best. But maybe you have one of the exceptional ones...

My friend has a 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4 with 2.4 liter, turbocharger. His runs 13.72 at the track! We raced last night & and he beat me by 3/4 of a car length.

1. How many levels on the bully dog?
2. Was it the bully dog triple dog or what is it?
I personally think high 13s on a bone stock truck with ONLY chip is very impressive

If I'm right if you download the Crazy Larry setting then you do away with the extreme setting. I could be wrong though, not the first or last time that i'll be wrong
Someone will chime in if i'm wrong about the Extreme & Crazy Larry program settings
2)Yes it was the Bully Dog Triple Dog with Outlook

My juice with attitude says I can run 15.1 at 99 MPH. So I'm going 10 MPH faster but am over a second slower. Or these things give a very rough estimate of ET.

At Bandimere last august I went 15.28 at about 93.5 on the BDDL extreme. That was in 2wd and no boost at all on departure. It spun the tires pretty good even in the groove. My truck would probably run into the very high 14's if it didn't spin the tires, had a converter that I wasn't afraid of breaking, and I lost 125 lbs of my hind end. I don't how much better it would run at sea level maybe .3 better based on NHRA correction table for turbocharged vehicles.
