honing out stock plenum?

honing out stock plenum?
has anyone "ported and polished" their stock plenum to see if any difference is to be had? just lookin at the AFE and banks ones and started thinkin

To that end, has anyone extrude-hone a stock intake? Would there be any gains to be had vs. the $$$?

You biggest restriction is between the mounting bolts, where it necks down. Not much you can do there.
