Hidden 5" Exhaust w/ No Soot Buildup?
Hidden 5" Exhaust w/ No Soot Buildup?
Looking to go w/ a 5" turbo back exhaust just for the sound. However, I'd rather not have the 5" pipe be too visible. Is there a way to have the tailpipe somewhat hidden w/o having the back of my truck end up black? Maybe have a downturn to drop it out just below the bumper?
Anybody done this or have any ideas?
I thought I saw something like this on a truck here or on TDR but can't seem to find it.
Thanks.

That's a pretty good idea. I wonder if the exhaust would come into to the cab when idling..... I guess I could try it and if the exhaust was too much, just attach the rest of the tailpipe. Thanks for the idea.
I have the magnaflow 5" turbo back, I left the last section off like mentioned above and put a 6" clamp on tip. You can hardly see it no more soot on truck, smoke hits the ground and goes out the sides. Little harder to smoke people out that cut you off though.
Thanks for the responses.

Sorry I don't have a pic of how I did it, but you can hardly see it, just a slight bit of chrome sticking out by the spare tire. Really didn't change the sound much maybe a little deeper bouncing off the pavement, but no drone
