Hey Gypsyman! Grill Guard question

Where did you buy that Waag grill guard? I don't think there are any dealers here in St. Louis so I'm buying online. Thanks, John

I picked mine up at Custom Truck in Spokane Wa. Over hear it seems like most Westin dealers also have access to WAAG. I'm on the road right now but if you need more help locating one let me know.

It's just the center portion of the full gaurd. As far as the stacks go, I did the fab and install of the stacks and the modified tool box myself. Man, this is one fun truck!

Hey Gypsyman, how do you like your VA stack with the TST? Any dyno numbers?

I can't say enough good things about this stack! Over 240 fueling combo's and I can kill the pressure with a flick of the switch when I don't need it. Pressure on 100% makes 3x3 about even with 5x5 without pressure. I'm still on the road but now that I'm confident with the stack I'll try to dyno it when I get home. I finally got to tow with the TST, C3.1, and the B1-04 and what a great combination! Grossing just a hair under 18,000 with my barn door of a gooseneck I set the TST on 3x3 at 75 mph. EGT's up any grade never exceeded 1076* at about 30 lbs and the truck never dropped below 72 mph! No down shifts and zero problems. I didn't even need the C3.1 to tow so I just use it to play or for running empty and improving mileage.

Dern Computers

Glad you like them, though.

Chris

just Kiddin', the only "real" thing bad about computers is they're making stuff for my truck become obsolete

Those new truck's get all the goodies, like EDM injectors

Does it fatten up the bottom end on the TST? I really liked the VA CP3.2 in terms of low end, but it fell kind of flat near the top. The TST hits really hard up high..but not as much down low. Trying to decide if a little pressure added to the TST is the ticket.

I really prefer the driveability and the incab controls of the VA over the EZ. It seems to bring the boost up about 400 rpm sooner which lets the TST fuel sooner also. Still no monster bottom end as I've heard comes with the original TST but it seems to roll in a lot harder with pressure. Remember that the B1-04 spools a little slower than the stocker which I believe also contributes to the softer bottom end. I'm looking for another TST (cheap) so that I can experiment with different programs from Mark. I must say though that my current combo seems very linear and pretty easy on the turbo down low but just keeps building all the way to red line. For an 8500 lb truck this critter flat moves out and really catches people by suprise.

That is the problem with the TST...no boost...no fuel. Quicker you will make boost...more TST will fuel. Need something to fuel quickley regaurdless of boost to over come the side effect of a larger turbo. Almost like twins or a VGT turbo...need multiple stage fueling!

Does the Edge EZ (or other simple pressure box) only fuel on boost or just pedal input?

Doug, where are you man?

The EZ only fuels on boost from what they've told me and the fact that the only input is from boost. The VA is three dimensional. Boost, throttle position, and RPM. Just what I've been told by the manufacturers.

For the record I e-mailed WAAG, and they said if you order the "center" section only it is the same part that comes with the full 3-piece brush guard. Mine's on order. Thanks Gypsyman!
