Beta testing one now. Once it lives behind the TST box for a few weeks under heavy thrashing with big injectors, etc. we are going to bolt a few more up to some other rigs here locally.

The compressor wheel is larger than a 40. The turbine wheel is the same size as the 40, but will flow more air because of its design.

Bearings are tougher and were designed to help in the durability area. A complete bolt in kit will be available and will include: a new intercooler pipe, external wastegate, and the fittings to make it all hook up.

Before and after dyno tests are being done Monday!!! The stock turbo has already been dynoed with the pressure box, injectors and the TST. In all different combinations. Monday the tests will all be run again with the new turbo.

Part of the reason is it is water cooled.

I have a pile of brand new, never ground, camshafts here and no time to grind and test them.

Sometimes I wish I did not need sleep. Then maybe, just maybe I could catch up on these long overdue projects

Update: Looks like these turbos are going to work out well. There are a few versions. The first one seems to act about like a HX40 on a second gen. It spools about the same. The dyno is showing a 20 HP gain over the stocker. The EGT reduction is incredible. Much more than a 40 provided on a second gen. Highest EGT recorded today was 1080. This was at 29 PSI using a set of injectors that are just over 100 HP and a pressure box that adds another 40 or so. That is some cool EGT for that HP level. 440 HP!

There are a few othere versions we are working on as well. No data yet.

So far...very good.

EGT control is main reason for the turbo. No testing has been done on it with the TST yet. The turbo was installed on the truck this AM and has been run about 50 miles, dynoed, and is now being taken back off to try another. This turbo is heading to the mid west to a test guys place. He is going to run it a few months to see if it lives behind the TST box for extended periods.

It made a 445 HP run today with injectors and a pressure box. 175 HP gain over stock and less EGT

It does spool like a 40 so it is not fast enough IMO for the high altitude guys or auto tranny guys.

The faster spooling unit will be on and dynoed soon.

Maybe a month or two and it will be ready to sell.

600 injectors for mileage and power

Hey Don M,

How are the 600 injectors coming along? Will they still work magic even if the turbo isn't changed?

Thanks,

Fred Parlee

Hey Don, it's been a month... my truck should be here in 8-12 weeks... how close are we? No pressure or anything!
