The P2146 is usually from an injector solenoid problem. Check the oil level in the truck. You could have a solenoid stuck which would cause it to put excessive fuel into the crank case. You can take a white paper towel and put a drop of your oil on it. If you see a clear ring form around the oil then there is fuel in it. Either way though it looks like you have injector problems.
thanks....
does this mean that a nozzle would be the fix or is this a whole injector problem? just wondering...wow! was hoping to get through the winter before i needed to do my injectors, plus i got 60hp nozzles! yikes! if it is an injector, where do a i find a cheap set of upgraded injectors? would then send mine, hopefully if feasable to get done over... thanks, anything you come up with, let me know.....thanks again, berm
You would need to replace the whole injector. Take it in to a shop that knows what they are doing first. I am about 90% sure that is what would be. First remove the programmer to make sure that it isnt causing the problem. Then a good shop can isolate and test the injectors. Then you arent just throwing parts at it.
