Help! question for anyone with a quadzilla commander
Help! question for anyone with a quadzilla commander
well I have a stock 06 and was driving on the freeway for about 1000 miles the other day and every time I would look at the water temp on my commander it would be bouncing between 190 and 223 degrees which to me seems way to hot. the factory temp gauge on the dash never went over 200 the whole time. what gives here? anyone else notice this? don't know if I can trust this unit anymore. the temp changes maybe 5 times a second and shows 195 215 198 223 200 191 222 198 223 191 210 . its just all over the place. I checked my connector on the temp sensor and its perfect. a 30degree jump in less than a second seems to extreme to be genuine. anyone?
I've run into a couple of problems with mine. It all ended up being at the connection at the Commander's harness. Isolate the engine temp wire & move it in & out & left and right to see if the reading changes. I ended up pulling it apart & re-installing a wire with extra di-electric grease.
