Help me identify this trubo Pics.

Hey guys a buddy wants to sell me this trubo for $500. He said he bought it from beans diesel it is suppose to be a sps 62-14.It is for 2nd gen would it work on my truck .

i do not think that is an sps 62/14. check my gallery. there are a few pics of my sps62. compare them

Is it just my eyes or does it look like where the name would be stamped on the housing (at least on a stocker) has been through a nice grinding treatment. And if that is the case I would have to then ask... Why? Only reason I could think of is if the wool is trying to be pulled over someone's eyes? I could be completely wrong, just giving my initial impression.

It's an Airwerks turbo. They grind off some of the housing serial numbers. Usually turbo builders will do this to protect themselves.

it looks bigger then a 62/14. Take some measurements and post them up.

the compressor looks more like a 66 than a 62

And in short...No, it wont mount up (without some changes).

oh yeah, the public finding out they paid 300% too much for a turbo

Ide becarefull buying a used turbo. Check for shaft play, up and down should be minimal, and back and forth should be nil.
