i live in south texas so it doesnt ever get really cold. my question is will the heater grid delete be a good option just to get faster spool up. i have a stock truck right now so im not sure it would even matter. for those of you that have done this mod, how has it effected the power boost and spool up?

 

On a stock truck you'll notice zero gains. The only thing you'll notice is having to only buy 1 battery instead of 2 since you'll be doing away with the need for it.

 

Well hopefully my truck won't be stock long. I'm looking at mini max, afe intake manifold and intake, maybe headstuds and either aftermarket turbo back exhaust or cat delete. Funny. I'm 25 and want a quiet truck lol also looking at trans upgrade all in the next year. Oh and maybee a water meth injection

 

also small lift with 35"s and bigger injectors. How much of this actually happens depends on what king of offer I get next month.

 

Justin how are you liking that top gun customs. I am looking at their 3.5" lift with mini leaf packs and bilstein shocks

 

Well, when I ordered my parts they were amidst an ownership crisis that left LOTS of people in the dark when they found that their orders were placed, their money taken, but their parts never shipped. All seems well now with new ownership but if I order from them again I'd call everyday to make sure things were going smooth.

Installed new control arms and track bar today....made a big difference in steering....that track bar is fairly massive.......just a PITA to get installed on my '03 as the mount had to be tweaked quite a bit to make it fit.

 

I'm still trying to decide between the more hp series or top gun customs. I want a clean look with 35s. I truthfully want a 6" but it's not practical for my intended use. So the delima is which to get. If I get the more then I plan on getting the control arms from tgc eventually
