I put over 100,000 miles on my first set of H2 wheels. Towing and carrying loads in the truck. Now I just changed to a set of the 2008 H2 wheels. They look different and are very nice.
I wore out the 315s and then a set of 285s on the first set of wheels with no problems. They are the perfect size for Dodges.
The modification to the centers is just for clearance and does not have to be exactly right. I did my first set with a hole saw and it worked pretty well, but I did this set with a router and a trim bit. This is the best way in my opinion. It takes only a minute per wheel and leaves a smooth machined finish. Very nice.
I put on a set of Toyo OC AT 285/75/17 E tires. They are 33.8 inches tall and rated for 3970 pounds.
The Dodge caps can easily be modified to fit the H2 wheels too. The '08 H2s require a different modification than the '07s.
I've never seen the actual rating on the H2 wheels but they seem well built and strong. They don't have any rating stamped into them.
