H2 Wheels

Looking for more information on running H2 wheels. Did a search, but I'm looking for somethign specific.

1) Does milling the centers to 4.775" ruin the chrome? The edge would be expose and more likely to peel in my mind.

2) Are the dodge wheels hub centric meaning I have to get that 4.775" right on the money?

3) Would these be good for towing my 5th wheel still? Concerned about the rating is all.

More pictures would be cool too.

thanks

1. Not Sure
2. No, the wheels are not hub-centric on a Dodge. The lugs are cone-shaped.
3. I would consider getting different tires, like a Toyo MT or AT, load range E

I already have tires rated for what I'm carrying. The BFG's while they are not E-rated tires are rated for the load. They've been working fine. I'd just move them over to H2 wheels. Found a new set for $500 locally. Might be able to get them a tad cheaper. Not sure yet.

So far on my h2's the chrome looks fine. Even if it did start to flake it's covered up by the center caps.

I wasn't planning on running the H2 tires. It's $500 for just the wheels. I already have 285s to put on them.

gp I would look around you can get tires and wheels for 700 if you look and to me the tires are more desireable than the wheels

Also I would look in to running the 305 65 17 bfg if you like bfgs same heighth as your 285s but will fill out the wheel a little better

milling the centers does not ruin the chrome. as far as for towing, id run a e range tire on them.

Maybe, but theres tons of guys running BFG 285's with 5th wheels. I'm not worried about that in the slightest. They're rated the for the same carrying cap as E class (3300lbs?). I won't be exceeding that.

The question was if the wheel will take the load. I know the tire will.

Well the BFG's are brand new that I have. I bought them and took them back 3 times trying to get them balanced out right. Turns out, after some argueing about road forcing them, that I have two bent stock steel wheels. These tires only have 7k on now.

I'm in Michigan
