Got in some HID kits

Anyone else running them? I got the 9007 for the headlights and 9006 for the foglights. They are both 8000k and single beam. I will install them today and put up some pics.

I have a projector HID headlight. If you don't use the projector, you are going to blind everybody and get the high beams flashed at you constantly due to the light dispersement of the stock reflectors.

If you buy the right kit with the reflector HID bulbs, you dont need to buy the projectors. It cuts off the light at a certain height so you dont blind everyone. Constantly getting high beamed is annoying!

Constantly getting blinded is way more annoying. Far too many vehicles out there with these lights set wrong.

I always got brights flashed at me and it is so dang annoying! I ended up taking mine off and will probably get some other ones later on but it gets very annoying especially when you have a lift and you are basically perfectly eye level with all the cars!

Where did you buy them, and what kind did you go with. I too have been looking at tons and tons of companies, but don't know what to go with?

This is the reason i have not really thought about HID's. I get high beamed with my stock headlights let alone if i had HID's. I've 4 big offroad lights on a light bar for when i really need some light.

Eurodezigns.com sells a very good kit. He will send a plug and play hi/low kit for the 9007 that is wired with resistors and everything. Not that I'm advertising for him but he does sell a quality product.

I constantly flash other people. Top a blind hill sometime in the rain and have a blasted pair of headlights burn your retina all the way down to the bottom of the ditch.

I strarted selling some, mostly to the import crowd and deceided to order some for some to try on my truck. They are very bright and no one has flashed me yet. I just had to order a relay kit that powers the ballast and taps into the light harness.

You should of ordered 9005 for your fogs.

Twice the brigntness of 9006, but you probably wont even be able to use them on public roads since you are running HID's in your fog housing.

Probably a reason why no auto maker use's HID's in a fog/driving application.

I also get flashed by other cars about one every minute. And I live in a rural area but be prepared for harrasment if you live in a city/large town. You will stick out like a sore thumb and will attract negitive attention from the police and looked upon as a ricer.

I bought them because I live up in the mountains with no streetlight and lots of wildlife. I bought them for saftey reasons, because factory lights suk, not to look cool.

Not to mention it was a major pita to install. I basically had to rewire my head and fog light. It said it was plug and play but that's only the case on non-computer controled headlights.

Good luck with all this
