Some of you may know that I just installed a TST on my truck and my boost was way down from 42psi max to 30psi. Well, I reversed my tone ring mod last night and now on 5/5 I get sustained 35psi and on 7/7 it get up to 38-40psi and the temps stay nice and cool too... Sweet!
I tapped the TST pyro wires onto my existing thermocouple so I'm running both off the same probe but the TST reads a bit lower than the Westach. It becomes more and the temps rise. I wonder which one is right........

I'm getting happier!!!! Come on EZ box!!!!!!

 

My guess is boxes that do heavy timing advances doesn't like any deviation to the static timing.

so tone ring doesnt mix well with the tst box?? when you say reverse you men go back to stock right.

 

Yes I turned it back to where it was stock.

 

Dodgezilla, are you familar with the 05's setup (stock turbo and electronic wastegate, I believe)???

Just wondering if I have Quad modify my XZT like you said he'd do for you, if I'd like the combo. I already get 40-42lbs of boost with the xzt and I think some fueling with the TST would be "nice". And I promise I'll take it easy on the stock turbo and trans...

 

It's nice but it's hard to resist turning it up........

One thing I have noticed is that I need to warm the truck up good before I drive it or I still get some timing rattle. If I turn the TST off, it goes away. I think I can live with it though...
