Got boost..

Im tryin to get my guages in and im not sure where to get power for the lights in the guages. i would like them to be able to dim with the dash lighs, any ideas?

And where should i tap in for my boost guage tubing

Mine is tapped into the actual light switch/dimmer behind the light switch cover.

Boost can be easily hooked up if you have a boost bolt. The boost bolt replaces one of the factory bolts & the tubing hooks up perfectly to the new boost bolt.

I just saw this in another thread. should be #4 oarnge and brown wire on the back of the headlight switch. Someone will correct me if im wrong.

You were right it was the orange and brown wire. I have C2 guages so they didnt really dim too much and are kind of bright right in my face. If anyone is thinking of putting these guages in a piller mount, ide go for another type of guage, ther are REALLY bright!

You can get a little potentiometer from Radio Shack and install in the pillar so the gauge lighting can be fine tuned.

No, I sure don't. Just have to rummage through their parts bins for one.
BTW, here's Autometer's solution for dimming the LEDs on the C2 series gauges.
