good torque converter

i just installed a smarty jr. today, and now i think my torque converter is slipping/going out... any suggestions on a good one? i have a 2006 dodge ram 3500, 2.5 leveling kit, 315/70-17 BFG a/t, AFE cold air intake, smarty jr. and thats about it. i use the truck for about 50/50 for towing and everyday driving. it has just over 48,000 miles on it...

Goerend is a great dealer, but I only have experience in the ATS. I have never heard bad things about either of their hard parts.

Ebay is not the place to buy a torque converter. If it is defective, try getting your money back....It is a difficult long process, I know. Buy from a reputable dealer that will back his product. If you plan on having a shop install it, buy it from him so you have a warranty for install and torque convertor. If the shop installs that Ebay T/C and it is defective, you will have to pay twice for installation of a good T/C.

So you just installed your Jr and it's slipping that quick? Just guessing your tranny been on it way out for a while. Sorry just don't want some to think the Jr eats tranny at first install. I guessing you've notice slipping prior.

I have a DTT triple disk and I love it! Even pulling my toyhauler I can just let off the brakes and it will take off with no throttle. Very controllable, but puts the power to the ground.

I can tell you that Dave stands behind his product. I have beat on my trans and when she finally let go the converter was destroyed. Dave had no questions about what happened....paid shipping and had a new converter asap! Pay the 1300.00 and get the LIFETIME warranty on your converter. Go cheap and it'll leave you on the side of the road....

ok. right now i am leaning towards the goerend... i want to get a good one. i was just looking to see what options we're avaible. theres a local diesel performance shop where i live... i'm going to check there, is it simple to install after dropping the tranny. i printed directions off the net on how to do it, but im afraid dropping the tranny and t-case is a little more than i can handle in my garage...

thanks
nick

I have had a Suncoast converter and valve body for about 2 years. The Suncoast upgrades have done a great job pulling my heavy camper (16K). We vacation in the Rocky Mountains. The tranny mods sure makes it a lot easier taking off on steep uphill grades. The Suncoast people are also great to work with and their prices are very competitive.
