Going bigger want 8" lift

So I currently have the lift that's in my sig on, but with some problems I have been having with the retailer, I am most likely going to be tearing it off and they will be getting it back. If this happens I want to go up to 8" lift. There sure doesn't seem to be many companies that make this? I cannot afford huge money like 4 grand for a lift or anything.

So what are my options and if you have them are you happy?
I know there is Rize, but I cannot find a good parts list on what their lift comes with and $2700 seems pretty dang steep! considering you don't even get new control arms I don't think? Just a bracket to change the angles?

Rock krawler is another option, but i've used their track bar and not a fan of their products. And their customer service was a joke.

I currently have no drivetain issues, do you guys think I will need to do something for my front driveshaft? What are things like brake lines etc? If I remember right most of them were pretty close with 6"?

I don't want to go cheap, but I can just say get a 6" BDS long arm, throw 2" spacers on and another 2" in the rear and the truck still handle good? I will be getting an adjustable track bar so that part is fine. I'm mostly concerned about driveshaft and steering angles, help please!

I would buy a set of 8" coils or 6" coils if you have a two inch leveling kit somewhere like I did. Then get the longarm kit from Top Gun. You should already have a drop pitman unless you send it back, then you'll have to buy another one. At 8"-10" of lift, you start to have steering clearance issues on the PASSENGER SIDE AXLE. As you approach this amount of lift, your steering bar has a steeper angle and it starts to hit the SWAYBAR mount where its connected to the axle. Again, this is on the passenger side of the axle. You'll probably have to address that, if your lucky it will be fine. I rotated my axle back dropping the pinion down to rotate the swaybar mount up for just enough TEMPORARY clearance until I could get a crossover setup mounted. Also, hopefully your trackbar is adjustable up to that amount of lift, call Don Thuren if its not. Do whatever you like to raise the rear axle 6"s. I personally avoided add-a-rougher-ride-leafs like the plague. If you keep your 6" shocks, you can cut a flat plate to mount that shock to instead of the towers, this will allow the shock to not TOP out over bumps. Or you can get 8" shocks. My 6" bilsteins were topping out over big bumps when I first lifted mine to 9"s. I had the plates cut which dropped the mounting point of the top of the shock down 3 to 4". Problem solved. You'll also need to relocate some brake lines as the stock mounting point is gonna be short. I just moved my brake lines to a new location, drilled and tapped the hole and they were plenty long.

You'll probably need an indexing ring to drop your transfer case down a bit. I had to notch my crossmember to make room for the driveshaft. I knew I was going to be above 8"s well before I did it, so I had the indexing ring put in while I was having the clutch done. No idea what vibration problems would have been like without it.

This may help or not. Good luck and get us some pics when you get-er-done.

Well, I guess you missed the end of my sig. I am fighting with TGC to take my lift back right now, because it is so messed up, I am sick of dealing with it and pretty sure I can get my credit card company to refund the money. So I will be starting from square 1. I will never give them another penny of my money

I am just mostly worried about my front driveshaft. Relocating brake lines are no big deal. Right now there is absolutely no issues but don't know is another 2" could change that. Other then driveline problems i'm not to worried, I can just piece stuff together as I know exactly what I need.

Can you even buy a indexing right for a NV5600 though? I haven't seen any I don't think. Superlifts won't I know.

I was able to get that Rize list, but it sure doesn't give much information. Even on their website. I wouldn't buy the lift unless I seen detailed pictures and explanation of EXACTLY what it comes with. It seems like they say "this is all the parts you need, just trust us we'll send em all". Not going to deal with a company like that.

Sorry about that. Then just buy what I said from someone else IF you can find it elsewhere. You've pretty much eliminated the two best options for where to find true longarms even though I can't blame you.

As for the driveshaft, most vibrate, some lucky ones don't. You'll need an indexing ring from somewhere if they're made at all or you'll need one of those really expensive high angle driveshafts that's been balanced to perfection or freespin hubs. I don't think freespin hubs are a good solution to vibration problems lest you ever need 4wd in bad weather, your still gonna get the vibration.

Well, I am going to talk to TGC tomorrow, and not sure what's going to come of it, but I might give them one last and final try to not screw up one of my orders. I guess if they give me a good enough deal on a 8" long arm kit, it is worth a bit of hassle to deal with them.

I am a bit worried about my front driveshaft. I need to be able to use 4wd on the highway. This might be a stupid question, but can a tiny bit of front driveshaft vibration hurt anything? I know it will make the u-joints go a lot faster but other then that? Reason being is, if I had to deal with a bit during winter, I could easily pull it for summer, until I could pony up the real coin to do it right. That is if I did the lift and had an issue.

Get a pitman arm, adjustable track bar ,track bar drop bracket,6 inch springs and 2 inch spacers or some 8 inch springs ,skyjacker 7 inch out of a 94-02 will give you about 8 inchs. You can still run a short arm just get the length right ,long arms will ride better though.Make your own the arms all the kits arms are to short and junk,I use ballistic joints and 1.75 DOM.I do not run a sway bar so I never worried about that.

Found a good deal on a used Rize. Been doing a lot of research on them, my though is a true long arm is a lot better? I really like all of the design, except for the control arms, i'm not really set on them. Anyone got anything good or bad about them? Seems like most people are happy with the lifts, but would like as much input as I can because it's a lot of coin. Even though the Rize used is just as much as many other 8" new I think it is probably worth it because it comes for everything to ensure no driveline vibration.
