Goerend Torque Converter and towing??

I've heard some good thinks about the Goerend torque converter, but on there website I saw that they don't do warranty for towing.

So is this converter good for towing? I tow somethink like 6000 LBS and 2500 miles a year.

And is this converter hard or easy to install?

Installation is no different than any other converter. I tow heavier than you with my Goerend's and there are no issues at all. It is terrific.

Yeah a stock converter would handle the 6000lbs 2500 miles a year, no worries their. Although installing it with your six gun will be a royal PITA your going to end up having to unload it before you will be able to squeeze it in, the shells just stick to far out of the cylinder.

If you've never done it youll never learn. You'll make some mistakes most likely and it will be hell installing one for the first time but if you have a place to do it, go for it. Try to find a friend thats done it to walk you through the install.

What's PITA???
And what do you mean with that the shells stick to far out?

When I bought mine there was no mention of towing voiding your warranty. That'd be ridiculous as thats what most of us use our trucks for. I've got 45k on my Goerends tranny pulling around 20k maybe 50% of the time. No major problems and Dave is easy to deal with. My tranny is one of the parts I dont have to worry about. Good thing about doing it right the first time.

Where on the website did you see this???? I've looked at every page and the only thing remotely close I can find is this quote...

"The warranty does not cover loss of use, time, towing, install, freight or per diem damages."

If that's what you're talking about then it doesn't mean the warranty won't cover towing. It means they won't reimburse you for the towing bill if the tranny breaks.

Mine tows great with the Goerend tranny. I've towed up to 14k-15k lbs with no problems.

Yes that's what I thought!
I just didn't understand it good enough. They should make one language in the whole world

I'm going to take the six-gun of my truck that's for sure.
I probable need to for the warrenty when they overhaul(I don't know if this is the right word) my engine block. Or maybe I need a new block.

And then maybe a smarty

What are other thinks where I can upgrade my tranny with, so I don't get in the future in trouble anymore. So that I don't need to do it later on.

Even if I have much more power! like 600hp.

And where can I order these things? And in what price catogorie's ?
