Go Floor It!

Ya John has taken my cp3 and modded into something special. Just would like to pass along the excitment I finally felt after having my Stage 2 pump installed.
For me the throttle response has improved along with the whole power band. Running my box on lower settings seems to be just dandy, while before it was a little stale. All out on hot seeing and good 20k at WOT, egts 1275 and speedo burried!
I was able to really evaluate John's reputation and I was happy to find out first hand he is a great guy with excellent customer service and mods a darn good pump.
A gentleman from MD played a big part in steering me John's way and I thank him for that.

So if there are some members with the question of should I do my pump and the equation equals the answer on paper, then its an easy decision in my eyes.
Flux 2, electronics, turbo .........+floor it modded cp3/ sum of this gives you the full potential of the power enhancers.

Glad to hear you are happy with your pump. Looks like John has another satisfied customer.

Cat, I up-graded from a 62 to 64 with no noticeable lag. The 64 flows more air and has helped keep things cooler. I did not choose the 14 in fear of lag when towing and was advised by the turbo dealer to stick with the 12. I guess there are more than one combo that works. The true test is still to come as holiday season approches I will be dragging a unit and will see where my temps settle in at.
Looking at what most members use, I would say a 64/14 is a safe bet, then again if you were to go with a 64/12 you can always change the exhaust to a 14.

I will up-date after I tow............

Wow. I know people have had some issues - myself included. But not that bad or bad enough for me to go somewhere else. I don't blame you. It's a shame though since John is really doing some cool stuff to his cp3s. Did you get any explination at all?

Apparently for some but not for others. Not sure why that would be.

I really like John. I've spent hours on the phone talking with him but in the past few months I haven't been able to get ahold of him. I've left him many, many messages and talked to a woman (wife?) and she never had him call me back.

I was looking forward to getting a modded single but after all the awesome numbers with twin pumps and the price of relentless diesel kit I'll just go with the twin pumps.

Obviously some can send it in and get it back quick. This whole winter when I read of people getting modded pumps I was kind of confused...

If I had the patience I would wait.

Still curious if you were given a reason at all, or were you just completely ignored. You sent in a pump in August - then did you ever talk to them at all after that?

Ya I would easily bet I called 20+ times in the past 8 months. The reason every time was the pump was at the machine shop and he is slow. This past week when I called I just asked for a stock pump since he has them coming in all the time. Its all good now, As long as I get a good stock pump back so I can use in a twin set.
