Since we've now contributed to the death of many stock clutches with our EDM sale, we convinced Peter to add South Bend Clutches to the lineup of sale items.

Rod,
Do you sell EDM injectors that are designed for the 03/04 HO engines?
This next question is kind of a "I need to vent" question.
I was told in another thread that no Scotty air systems, including the Ram Air III, will accept Progaurd filters. What in the world are the engineers at Scotty thinking?!?!
Maybe you could duct tape one of them to a chair and make him listen - explain to him that if they would design their systems to accept the most desired filter available, they would own the air intake market. I know many people who want a Scotty system but we won't install a system that brings cool dirty air into our engines. We would like to have cool clean air - bias intended

The 03/04 EDMs are coming down the line. Don is working on them, and has targetted the end of this month. I'm not sure if he'll make that deadline or not, but keep an eye on the website because as soon as Don has them, we'll have them
As for the ProGuard 7 filter in the Ram Air III, as much as I'd like to beat on Scotty, its not his fault. aFe refuses to build a ProGuard 7 filter that will work in our RA3 housings. They say its because it would make the pleats too close together, but Scotty and I both fail to see it.
I've never been all that excited about the ProGuard series filter. We've done hundreds of oil analyses of standard aFe filters, and have yet to see a particulate analysis come back with higher than stock readings, except on one damaged filter. So quite frankly, I can't see the use of the ProGuard. You obtain stock levels of filtration from the standard filter, without the reduction in airflow that DOES occur with the ProGuards.

Rod,
Thanks for the response.
It is hard to wait for the EDM injectors - but we will just have too, just like we will just have to wait for Scotty to realize that if aFe won't make a filter to fit their housing, then they will just have to make a housing to fit the filter that most people at this time want.

Progress is slow on the EDM 3rd gens. but we have a solid gain so far with better EGT control.
The best so far is 45 HP with no EGT troubles. The highest we saw with a stock 325/600 truck is 1225 degrees using a stock turbo and boost fooler.
The first set we installed gave us 22 HP and 100 degrees less EGT with a 7% smaller injector than stock.
The throttle response was better and overall driveability was very smooth.
It flat out will not smoke. Loads of testing continues!
