I'm on the verge of buying one also and taking out the silencer ring, I'd also like to know the good/bad, I haven't heard anything bad overall. Hope we get some feedback. Thanks for posting it.

I just used a piece of exhaust tubing, was a lot cheaper than 50 bucks.

I put the Geno's pipe to replace the silencer and it worked well. Turbo sounds better.

Silencer delete plus muffler delete work great together for me.

I would use the airaid MIT over the MPC any day of the week. The MPC is a straight piece of metal, yet the upper and lower elbows are different size, the MIT makes a smooth transition from the large upper to the small lower, thus increasing airflow and reducing turbulence, where the MPC would promote turbulence.

Either way be sure to leave the vanes in the lower elbow, they are supposed to increase the turbo efficiency up to 30%.

It is not a straight piece of metal. It is sized at both ends to fit the hose.

But does it taper the approx 1" inside the hose to match the lower elbow?

The MIT is about an 1" narrower on the lower opening than the upper, the MPC doesn't appear to do so.

with the 2 pics, the airaid does appear "smoother". my question is, out of a stock air box, and filter, will the turbo be starving with air at all with the geno's? that size tube can move a lot of air.

The tube will only move as much air as the lower elbow can accept, which is the same size as the MIT lower diameter, and smaller than the MPC.. So you induce turbulence.. The MPC is larger around at the base than the lower elbow is (inside dimensions).

I think its worth every penny. It reduced the IAT's, increased throttle response, and helped with low end smoke. It adds a nice whistle to the turbo, but nothing that is annoying.

You are not going to "Starve" the turbo of air with either of those. Either one has to be better than the stock design. I made my own torque tube using smooth rubber elbows that I bought at airflowonline. The factory accordion type elbows are not smooth inside....
