Gear Vender overdrive

I am thinking about putting a gear vender overdrive in my 2003 dodge. Can anybody tell me if they make a good product and if they work great on pickup trucks. I have been reading about these on the internet, but I do not want make another mistake like buying a Bank computer system.

Definitely a quality unit, do some searching on this site; there are plenty of posts about it.

Gear vendors are radical, I'd love one, but they are pretty friggin' expensive.

Smaller output shaft... Smaller U-Joint Not a sled puller

Fantastic on the super slab. If you use your truck on the highway a lot it's a must for the new G56 and the 3:73s

My rpm is now 1750 at 70 MPH. MPG up 3 MPG You can tow in 5th over (same as 6th) which is direct drive. This gives you 5th and 5th over on the highway...plus careful usage of 6th over (down hill or tail wind) when towing.

Much more flexible. I like mine but disliked the cost.

IMHO the 2006 with a G56 is geared to low.

I have also been looking at them, one downfall that is kinda holding me back is the ammount that you have to change the oil on them, but other than that, they say they will hold large ammounts of power, and drag racing too

I agree with the G56 & 3.73's. My last truck had 285/70/17's. This truck has the G56 & little tires. I feel like I am in 5th gear. I do love how it shifts compared to the NVG5600, though.
