gear vender overdrive
(turbo thom)=Preston is his first name and he is a really great guy. I know he has been using a Gear Vendors Overdrive unit for quite some time.

I had one in an old work truck, that unit is a great piece of equipment!! I would highly recommend it. I pounded the he** out of it for years and could never break it. Ran as heavy as 22,000 lbs and it never complained, the truck on the other hand??? well it was a big block Chebby.
Just one caveat - you can't use an exhaust brake with the Gear Vendors unit engaged. This is actually an updated version of the old Laycock overdrive used in Austin Healeys, Volvos, etc., and it can't handle a significant transfer of power in the reverse direction (like engine braking with an exhaust brake).
If that's a problem for you, you might consider the U.S. Gear unit.
