Gauges

I have a 2004 5.9l Dodge Ran 2500 everything is stock for now. I would like to add some gauges. Now the questions which guages do people recommend and what ranges. I do tow a skidsteer and other things. I was thinking about the overhead 3 or 4 gauge mount and ISSPRO gauges. I think the best price is from dieselmanor. but would like to hear other people input. Thanks

Nothing wrong with the prices at Dieselmanor. The type and placement of gauges and gauge mounts is a personal preference and everyone is different so what works for me, the next guy doesn't necessarily like.

Gauges: Boost I would say 0-40 would be minimum, 0-60 if you plan on some major mods in the future.

Pyro 0-1500* should be plenty for the average guy, you need to be backing out before you peg the gauge anyway.

Tranny temp - if you have an auto tranny I would suggest one of these. I prefer full sweep gauges as the markings are are easier for me to see and I like the finer readings the full sweep gauges offer.

Fill out your signature so that others can see exactly what you have and you don't have to type it in everytime you post a question.

I got the "A" pillar mount at DieselManor (see signature) and I would get the fuel pressure gauge before I got a transmission temp gauge. The truck already at least has a warning light for trans over temp but it has nothing for fuel pressure.

I went with the ISSPRO EV2 gauges, have 4 in a dash pod and 1 in a SRT-10 pillar. FP, RP, oil press, pyro in the dash pod, exhaust back pressure in the pillar. Since I have twin turbos, I have 2 small single pods alongside the pillar to monitor my boost in both the primary and secondary turbos. Then, I put a 4-gauge in the overhead above the rear view mirror. It has front axle temp, rear axle temp, tranny temp and oil temp.

You can have fun with guages and gauge locations. The overhead 4-gauge pod is nice for stuff you'd want to check every so often, but I would not want to have my primary gauges up there because it IS a little driving distraction to look up there. Much easier to peek now and then at the gauges on the pillar and dash top.

Which brand and which style? Most of the packages I have seen have the older ISSPRO EV gauges. I haven't seen any other kits for the EV2. I would like to keep it as close to the factory gauge colors as possible. Also fuel pressure gauges 40, 60, 100?

0-30 on fuel pressure is all you need.
