g56 HP capabilitys

trying to get some poeples two cents on this tranny with a south bend dd clutch. looking to do a little pulling next summer and hoping to be 700+hp, ive not had much input on the competition forums, looking to hear from people who've ran the tranny, peter from south bend bragged it up and talked to a guy that rebuilds them for dodge and from what ive heard there better than the nv5600 other than the alum. housing witch people talk down but no one talks down the autos being aluminum. thanks for any info

I've seen over 1000hp trucks pull with the G-56. They take a beating and have larger input shafts.

Everything breaks at a point But they will out perform the nv45-56-getreg any day. I would rather have the g-56 over any of the other chrysler stuff

A new G56 tranny is $2,875 I don't think that is to bad anyways. NV5600 has a good reputation but it's not bulit proof either and they aren't making them anymore.
