You will want to get a fuel pressure gauge so you can monitor your fuel pump's pressure as a starting point. If you start seeing the pressure dropping to zero you may want to think about adding a pusher pump or replacing the stock pump.

I kept my Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator from my old Ford's custom fuel system to use on my Dodge once its needed.

 

Ive seen trucks with 4 gauges on the pillar, a standard 3 gauge piece then an add on single gauge holder up top. Looks awesome. If not on my 01 I had the tripple pillar with the little universal gauge mount below the dash. I got it at an auto parts store for about $6.00.


As for the fuel pressure thing, Diesel Dynamics has a kit for the 3rd gens to handle power up to 500+ hp. and the price isnt to bad either. Also the FASS, and Preperator pump set ups are nice as well with increced filtration.

 

No one sells them in a 4 gauge pillar mount option that I know of (is yours pillar or a dash mount?). What I ment was you can get the single "add on" pillar gauge mount and mount it to an allready existing 3 gauge pillar mount to have a four gauge pillar mount.

 

You can also get a single or double steering coloum gauge mount.
