Fuel Pressure Question
Fuel Pressure Question
Hey everyone,
I have a Raptor 150 installed on my 06 cummins, today I recently put on a ISSPRO fuel gauge, 0-30psi. My question is that the Raptor is adjustable, can i turn up the pump all the way up? the gauge reads at 30 now, when i had it set at 15psi and nailed the throttle the gauge would go down to 4psi. so would it be safe to leave it on 30psi is my question?
Thanks
Nick

Are you using your stock filter housing with stock plastic cap??? If so then about 30psi is the limit for the plastic. If you wish to run more PSI you need to get a Billet Cap from Geno's garage.
IMO, 30 psi is probably good for inlet pressure. The more important number is WOT, no less than 7psi for longevity.

I would put it a little lower, so that your not maxing the gauge out.. If 15 at idle is 4 WOT, then try 20 idle... I would set it so your about 7-10 at WOT.
Also where are you measuring the fuel psi?
A big line kit may help as well.

i have the big line kit on the Raptor, but my gauge comes out from under the fuel filter, i have the banjo bolt then the needle valve then the line fitting for the gauge.
