I just pulled the 48Re on my 05 to install a good quality low stall convertor.
The trans works good and the pan is clean but while it's out thought now is a good time to freshen it.
I'm debating whether to install the Sonnax convertor valve, pressure regulator valve, and manual valve with the convertor charge in park, or install the Transgo kit to help reliability.
The truck is all stock, but use it to tow my 10,000 pound race trailer up some steep grades.
Still want the truck to shift fairly smooth.........does the Transgo 48RE kit shift okay?
Has anyone just used the sonnax valves?
