Fuel Filtration, Oil Filtration, Both?
Yea sure, post up a few pics im interested in seeing how you mounted it. Did you have plenty of oil line to reach from the bumper to where it had to go?
If I read that right, you ran one fuel filter for 130k miles????
I just ordered the oil bypass filter kit from nucmotorsports. I wish I had done this a long time ago. Some people do it for extended change intervals and others just do it for better filtration. I will be doing it for both. I currently change the oil at 6k mile intervals. I will probably only go to 10k intervals now with oil analysis to verify.
My next mod will be a 2 micron fuel filter set up.
I am doing these mods mainly because I want to get a million miles from this truck and I have no plans on ever getting rid of it!!

Thanks for the opinions and pics. Looks like I’m going to have to part with some additional cash and put aside some more weekend garage time.
Anyone else have pics of there installs showing the chosen locations for both filtration units?

That is correct rockcrawler. I went 130K on the last filter and had 5 psi on the fuel pressure after installing my gauges. I don't know what the pressure was on demand fueling, as I changed it out before taking a ride. I can only hope that it was always positive. I would think there would be a warning light or check engine light if the pressure dropped too low, but I may be overly optimistic on this one.

WOW!!After seeing the other mounting location I'm not sure where to mount mine. I will post pics when I do it.
Thanks for the pics. I think I'm going to modificate (like that word
) the bracket so it'll fit where yours is, then I don't have to worry about the fuel filter interfering on the topside of the motor.
