Fuel delivery problems

Yesterday my truck began to act up. I felt like the tranny was slipping. I knew that my tranny needed to be rebuilt to accomodate the juice box but it hadn't really shown signs of wear. So on my way to work my truck began to surge which to me seemed like the tranny was slipping BAD. So I sent it to a local tranny shop to have them upgrad the tranny. According to them, it was not my tranny at all. Even though my "Check Engine" light didn't come on they say that there are 2 fuel delivery code errors. One for fuel lift pump circut low voltage and one for high pressure common rail error. What the hell? Has anybody ever ran across these errors and if so what was the solution. Thanks

What where the two codes it threw?

I have been having some trouble with my juice since I got it updated to the 2.1 version, surging and or more like its missing on one cylinder.

It's likely your lift pump. If you haven't upgraded it yet then you will need to. Was it missing at around 2700-2800 RPM? That's where mine started but it never threw a light at all. The first code is due to no pressure at the lift pump and the second is your rail pressure dropping because you drained it, no fuel. You can do a search on lift pumps here and you will find all of the info you need.

Lift pump code is P0169 for low voltage. My truck's LP is being replaced at this time. Skipped hard a like crazy at idle when it threw the code.

Do a lift pump before you lose the injection pump as well. People are buzzin about the Walbro Glacier unit. The Fass seems for the hardcore bomber IMHO.
GETA FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE!!
