frustrated with Isspro

I have installed a total of four Isspro gauges in my truck, not one of them has functioned properly.

First, an EGT gauge, bought from Genos. Checked installation 6 times. Didn't work. Sent back to Genos. They sent me a new one. Reinstalled everything. Didn't work. Returned to Genos for refund, installed Edge shortly afterwards, EGT gauge on Juice monitor works flawlessly. Never did figure that one out. I know this points to an installation error, however I had several qualified individuals check both installations, they had no clue either. Things didn't work out between Genos and I.

Second, a trans temp gauge. Ordered from Diesel Manor. Worked well for a while, then started giving erratic readings, like 200 degrees at startup. Diesel Manor sent me a new one. Replaced everything but the probe. Worked well for a couple months, then the same thing. Figured it must be the probe. Drained the transmission tonight, pulled the sender, installed the new one from the last new gauge, it snapped off inside the threaded bushing when I tightened it. I tightened it with a 3/4" stubby wrench, enough that it would not leak but nowhere near excessive.

I work in a diesel shop so I had a brass drain plug handy, plugged the hole and refilled. Diesel Manor has been helpful, they should send me a new one no problem, but still, this has been frustrating, not being able to trust my trans temp gauge to give an accurate readout. Am I alone here?

Ditto

I have a fuel gauge that's been replaced twice and still doesn't even come close to the shop gauges. I'm done with those guys. They build junk and I hope others read this and purchase accordingly.

Well that makes me feel better about my autometer's... Just Horrible directions.. I have had them on both on my trucks and not a problem one.. The only thing they don't make is a rail pressure guage...

My Dad got several bad oil psi gauges from Isspro, but they, and Diesel Manor, were extremely helpful in getting the situation corrected.

This is weird, because I have put in at least 4 sets of Isspro gauges from diesel manor, and not a problem with one of them in several years.

I have had mine for about 3yrs now and they have never acted up or caused me problems.

Mine have been in place since 2000.
I had a flakey Tranny Temp guage after 1 year, replacement sent via a phone call....That's it.
They've been flawless since then.

I was going to buy ISSPRO or Auto Meter but cannot tell what is better maybe this is some good input.

Anyone have trouble with autometer?

I purchased my ISSPRO gauges from Diesel Manor and ran into a couple of issues w/ my kit. A couple of missing parts and I had them send me a new EGT gauge out due to the fact that it did not work at all.

ISSPRO and Diesel Manor where very helpful along the way though. I got my parts shipped out to me in a timely mannor without any questions asked.

Despite the couple of problems I encountered along the way I would not trade in my gauges for anything else, they work great now and the EV gauges match my factory lighting dead on.

I have ISSPRO gauges and not a minutes problem. Installation was very easy. They have been in place for over a year. I also bought them from Dieselmanor.

I just finished sending photos to Isspro. I ordered a boost and EGT from Dieselmanor. The EGT works fine (have yet to install the boost gauge-can't decide on a spot). The first EGT gauge had the llittle/center nub that the needle attaches too off-center. I called Dieselmanor, they contaced Isspro and a new one was sent immediately. I was very happy with the customer support. Then, when the new gauge came, it was the same. The little nubby was off-center. I contacted Isspro and they very nicely asked for photos. It took like 3 weeks for me to reply because I had to get my digital camera back from my Dad's house. Anyway, I j ust mailed the photos back tonight. I will let you know how it all goes.

I have 3 Isspro gauges in my truck - EGT, Tranny Temp, and Boost. Of the three, the Tranny Temp gauge has a lighting "issue" (two bulbs - one goes in and out for no reason) and the Boost gauge (0-60PSI) makes a ticking sound under acceleration. The EGT gauge had an issue but it turned out to be a loose wire I connected during install.

I love the way they look (very professional) but am a little disappointed in the (somewhat lack of) quality.

Thanks for this thread. It reminded me once again to call Diesel Manor and have them fixed/replaced.
