The gauge gave me some grief. The isolator was leaking so I shut the whole thing off for a while. I finally learned (on this forum) that there's a bleeder on the fuel side of the isolator... that's what was leaking - I snugged it up and so far, so good.
Today I finished the install. On the light switch the dimmed 12V is the Orange/Brown on the bottom row of wires (there's two).
I'm still chasing a leak on the anti-freeze side of the isolator - I found a big air bubble behind the gauge when I took it out to connect the dimmer. Here's brilliant for you all. When you take the tube off the gauge, the anti-freeze won't run out as long as the isolator is on tight - the vacuum holds it in fine. But, guess what happens if you turn the key to accessory? (don't ask why, I was testing the dimmed source and I know it works with the key off, I just turne the key on anyway). That isolator will push all the antifreeze out of that line pretty much immediately when the pump cycles on. doh.
