Formula 1 Diesel!!!
Just want to let everyone know how impressed I'm with F1. Don repaired my Mach 4's the other day and a lady from F1 called me today. She wanted to know where I wanted to send my injectors to because she had heard that I sold them. So instead of just shipping them back to me, they were going out of their way to ship them to the person I sold them to. That way we wouldn't have to deal with customs. Now that's customer care. I ended up selling them to a gentleman up in Canada so they had to send them to me anyways. Talk about looking out for #1(no pun intended) Thanks again Formula 1 and I can't wait to run your injectors in my 07' when the wallet permits...
Yeah not to be a jerk but I was getting my transmission rebuilt in Dallas, just before I was about to get transferred 3000 miles away (military), and thought that I might be able to get my injectors done at the same time. What the hay, the truck is down for a week so might as well? I talked to Bob, who was super helpful, about having the tips upgrades, and suggested my tranny guy (in Dallas) drive my injectors to Don (in Dallas) to ge them done. I get a call back from Bob telling me that I would need to mail my injectors to seattle so Bob can send them to Don.
Now, reasonable man approach, does that make much sense? The truck is down, we are in the same town, and there is a benefit to having a "known" tranny guy create a business opportunity. But instead I was supposed to mail them from Dallas to Seattle then from Seattle to Dallas when the truck was 30 miles away. I have seen time and time again when Don has gone the extra mile for a customer but unfortunately it did not happen for me. So ultimately, I will buy DDP's. Just my two cents.

When I first began injector work I promised the family I would never involve them directly with the public. Be it a benign customer dropping off injectors or whatever.
We struggled with the best security measures we could come up with that would protect everyone involved in all transactions and came up with the following procedure:
1) Have all shipments go to a single point where they can be signed for and secured by a live person. This gives us a chain of custody.
2) Keep the final location of "where" the injectors end up for overnight storage and the work being done a secret. This provides some additional security for the customers injectors. Since at any one time we may have over 40 sets of customers injectors. A single person with bad intentions could make life pretty miserable for a alot of people. Imagine trying to replace that many sets of injectors at one time. )-:
By not allowing drop-offs by the locals we have made a few folks upset and I understand that, but we cant determine who that one person in a million with bad intentions might be. We do have a deal with Cummins Southern plains in Dallas that is taking in our injectors and forwarding them to us for locals. Although with the price of fuel, shipping is usually cheaper.
Other aftermarket injector companies dont take in customers injectors like we do. Or if they do, it is a handful VS a truckload. We also are supplying rebuilds to some local entities for use in their replacement programs and we do all we can to insure their injectors are protected as well.
Even if we take out the high cost of replacing customers injectors we still have an inventory of parts, very expensive cleaning, drying, testing and process equipment to protect.
I hope this helps explain why.

Don,
Thanks for clarification.
I understand your frustration and I am glad you brought this up. I want to tell you "why" this is the case.

Not only that but what about all the guys that would bring stuff over or come over to pick stuff up and want to shoot the Bull for hours on end.
( Like Me )Neverless all the gearheads that would just want to hangout and down a couple brews, No doubt that would eat into productivity.
I commend Don for how he looks out for his family like that.

I will be a future customer.
One more great reason why Don's injectors are so meticulously built. Focus, discipline, and integrity in a product are hard to find these days. Hat's off to you Don for running a tight ship and producing something that is worth every cent a customer puts into it. I've been looking to upgrade to some F1's for the last few months and this is just another reason why they're the next thing on my list.
