Flowmaster outlaw?
will the flowmaster 5 inch outlaw mufler work on my 5 inch? it says it will work on some turbo diesel applications

I'm not a big fan of Flowmaster. Good sound, bad flow. Maybe different now though.

DON"T DO IT!!!! I had a flowmaster on my 05 and it was horrible... Flowmaster makes good gasser mufflers... Get a donaldson!!! It will save you some coin....

will the donaldson be louder? cause my magnaflow goes into a 4 inch inside it and i want a true 5 inch.

The donaldson is a true 5" all the way not reducing.. THe flowmaster was louder but very annoying.... Not a good diesel sound???

I had a flowmaster system on my previous 07 and it sounded pretty good with the cat left in. Without the cat it sounded like crap. It did seem to hurt the low end a bit.

I was interested in a Magnaflow series stainless 5" system. Do the mufflers on all their 5" systems neck down to 4"?

Ive always heard chambered mufflers dont really work well on a diesel, well, turbo diesel anyway, something to do with the pulsing the chambers create. Nothing damaging, just more to do with turbo spooling, basically small pulses in backpressure...

yes the flowmaster does reduce horsepower and you can deffinetly tell. I suffered a hit to fuel mileage with it.

IMO, the Aeroturbine is far and away the highest quality choice in terms of form AND function - especially if you weld it to the downpipe.

you put it on the down pipe? pics? why?
i put mine just behind the transfer case. enlighten me as to why mount it in the down pipe. thanks.
