floor it stage 3 help?

I usually dont frive my truck much but my commuter car died on monday so I now have to drive my truck to work. ever since monday the truck had a surge to it with the mp-8 at 100% close to 2k on the rail gauge and just under 1k with it off. I assume this is due to the fca sitting and now it is sticking. what can I do to try to fix this annoying problem. I tried calling john but no answer. any ideas?? Rob

Never run the MP-8 above 60% for starters...

Swap out the FCA with a stocker and see if it helps...

I have replaced the fca and the surge goes away. I am wanting to know what I can do to keep this modded fca? I have tried calling and pm'ing john a few times with no reply any other ideas?

He will swap it out. Just keep trying to get ahold of him. It can be tough sometimes, as the phones at floor-it ring off the hook, day and night. Keep trying and all will be taken care of.

Um...most modded FCA's surge...just the nature of the beast.

Because of the radical ramp rate due to changign the shape of the fca fuel port...it has to work overtime to try and keep the fuel pressure steady.

Think of pulsing...

I know it will surge a little but I pulled a small bobcat with my truck and in tow/haul mode with the converter locked. I was worried the transmission was going to break due to the bucking. rail gauge was pulsing close to 1500 psi mp-8 on 20 % and no other boxes.

I agree, and disagree. I had one on my stg 3 that surged, dropped by and had john swap it out. It has been fine now for over a year. No surge at all.
