Ok. If I download the TnT software, I can still switch back to the Revo Software after the dyno pulls, correct?

My truck got ten more horses out of level 5 then 7, and 13 more then 9. This was with 100 hp injectors so maybe try 9 and adjust it down with the pod a little on runs 2 and 3.

When I talked to Bob awhile back he said to dyno with lvl7 tnt cranked rail and 0 timing to get best results. Like i said before this is not recommended with your mods but I dont forsee you having any problems running it for a dyno 3 short bursts. especially with a built tranny.

and YES you can go back to REVO.....but you wont want too, tnt lvl 1 is ok for your truck and in my opinion lvl 1 and 3 on TNT pull just as hard as lvl 7 and 9 on REVO. After the dyno adjust some settings and run lvl 1 or 3 on TNT for awhile to see how you like it.

Sounds good guys. I will probably load sw7 then on the revo tnt software and see where the dust settles. I suppose using the pod to change the settings will be my best option since they will not let us change settings.

Also i dunno if you will get to drive while on the dyno.. some will let you some wont.. if you do get to drive.. ride your brake right before he tells you to hit it.. It will bring your boost up and you will make more power on the dyno...

Yeah that was the other reason for this post, to try and get some pointers incase I end up driving.

I have never done it before so it wouldnt break my heart if somebody that new what they were doing did it this first time around.

Right now I am just hoping that the it will slow down/stop snowing out here so ill be able to drive down there tomorrow.

Yeah.. The brake thing really helps. Your sig says nothing about an upgraded charger so your spool should be pretty good but it still helps a bit. Helps a lot with my twins cuz they take a sec to hit 10 psi then they are like the Saturn V rocket to the moon.. lol It would be nice to have someone else drive when your a novice at it but honestly, you know your truck best. You know how to drive it and hot rod it to put down good numbers. The last guy i let drive on the dyno, all he did was make A LOT of smoke and put down less power than I know its capable of.. Hopefully you get to drive.. Good luck on the snow thing dude... not really a problem here in vegas. Haha

I always do it in OD.. gives you a bigger rpm band.. and it wont hurt nothing as long as you are going over 50 mph i think.. then the converter is locked up for sure..

What's the harm in running the TNT tune as a street tune if you keep it on SW1-SW3? Peak HP is around the same I'm sure? Are the lower end gains just THAT much stronger?

^ I dont know. I am curious on that too. I would think it would be fine to run on the street everyday, but with the proper gauges to monitorer everything. Without having a fuel/rail pressure gauge I would rather play it safe and stick with the revo software until I know exactly what my truck is doing when I mash the skinny pedal.

That's a good point. How does the TNT-R effect RP? So many questions...

Haha no kidding. I am no where near the point of having a need for the tnt-r tune, but I just downloaded the revo tnt off the madswebsite and I will be putting that on the smarty today. Ill let ya know my initial impressions on it, but it will be a little difficult to tell with the road conditions out here, and ill only be monitoring boost, egt, trans temp and coolant temp with the commander.

There has to be someone out there who has compared the rail pressure/fuel pressure that the Revo software puts out to the Revo Tnt software???

This thread also has some comparisons of the revo tnt to the tnt-r in terms of rail pressure

Supposedly there is NO difference in power between the R and regular tnt ...only difference is the 4krpm adjustability which on my truck doesnt even fuel up that high any way.

The REVO has standard software and power settings that start at 30hp for lvl1 and go up from there to 170 like this lvl1=30, lvl3=60, lvl5=90, lvl7=130, lvl9=170........which is way different if you consider TNT starts at 100hp for lvl1 and goes to a supposed 230hp lvl9....which in most cases is actually found in lvl5 or 7 depending on truck and mods. I have never seen anyone dyno better on TNT lvl 9 thern on lvl 7....but then again I havent seen a lot of things

I ran lvl 3 and lvl 5 TNT on a stock tranny for about 10k and before that ran lvl7 or 9 on REVO for about 10k i currently have 35k on my truck the first 15k were with smarty jr...then came edge juice with attitude before the bigger smarty tunes then I ran 4.4 for a long time in between edge and REVO and or TNT...No I run bully dog PMT with the "low end" fuel option ON all the time and I have yet to have any problem with my dodge STOCK tranny.

Is this recommended NO but I drive like a normal person unless someone baits me into something. I credit that driving style to making my tranny last as long as it has. To each his own....I hope this explains some of the background of smarty software and also helps you understand what can and cant be done on a stock truck F.Y.I Revo lvl7 will pull your fuel pressure to 0 on stock pump.
