First time dyno, i want to cry now!

I went down to Beech Bend and dynoed yesterday, here's what i found out:
TST on 6/6 BDDL on performance and ramifier on 50%=383hp and 800tq
TST on 6/6 BDDL on performance and ramifier off=379hp and 778tq
TST on 2/6 BDDL on performance and ramifier off=462hp and 894tq
TST on 1/6 BDDL on performance and ramifier off=301hp and 605tq
TST on 3/3 BDDL on performance and ramifier off=411hp and 822tq

I'm not happy with this! I think the power that i want is in there, but not where i thought. I would love to hear your thoughts on what to try because i have no freaken clue! I'm looking for 500 and 1000, isn't that reasonable? I saw a 05 with nothing but a BDDL with CL stacked with an EZ make 497 and 968! No turbo, fuel system, or anything! I think my truck is a big turd, change my mind!

Depends on who you listen to. There is a guy on here claiming a Bully Dog on the 90 HP setting and a straight pipe, and NOTHING else claiming 430/750 (or something like that.) I myself can not beleive it, but I guesss some will I do think that with your mods, you should see more power however. Start looking at FP and EGT's among other things.......take it from there

I dyno'ed too and was also a little dissapointed with my numbers as was my buddy in his d-max. Oh well to much optimism I guess I know that my stock injectors are holding me back, but it was also hot yesterday and that hurts numbers too. But not by that much, I saw your truck up on the rollers and thought that it would of put down more than that from the look and sound of it!

Well I have a lot of dyno time with BDDL w/CL, TST w/twins and EZ stacked. My guess is that you had the TST way to high. I was hard headed or ignorant, depending on how you look at it and started with the TST settings way to high. I don't think I ever went low enough with the TST to see best numbers yet. My best so far was 522/930. That was with the TST on 6/6, EZ 3 and BDDL Performance program. I should have went a lot lower with the TST, especially with the torque setting.

My guess is that you would do better with the BDDL Performance program, TST 3/1, 4/1 or 4/2(hp/tq) and Ramifier maybe 30-40%.

I have seen a number of posts and most see higher numbers with TST/BDDL with lower settings on the TST.

Everybody tells me that the 03's like different things than the 04.5's and newer, i wish someone with an 03 could shed some light on this for me. I just don't see paying all this money for these boxes and turning them way down.

You can't expect to stack 3 different boxes and be able to turn them all up to their maximum setting. With the TST twins flash and the BDDL, you will find your best numbers with settings like 4x1 or 4x2 max, maybe even less. The higher the TE setting, the faster the rail will drain. Next time you get a bunch of dyno runs, try starting with the TST on 1x1 or 2x1 and work up till you start losing power

I totally agree with JeffK. All those high settings in 3 boxes is nothing but a recipe for disaster. Cliff

it takes a lot of dyno time, E.T. times at the track, and watching other to figure out what it takes to make the power you want. Don't worry, you'll get there. Try capping off the rail relive valve. Its a good start with a truck that doesn't want to perform. Just pull out the banjo bolt, tap it 1/8 inch NPT, and stic a 1/8 inch pipe plug in it and grind it flat.

Should i get rid of either the BDDL or the Ramifier to make it more simple?

Im curious as to what this will help, does it keep the pressure up or just let it build more pressure.
