what mod should I do on my 03 first already replaced the factory Lp with a raptor. I am think a tst box I want to go big on hp when I am done I know I will need a tranny but for now I am looking to gain a little power and mpg

 

Smarty or a Diablosport Predator. If you want top notch support on the 3rd gens go with the Smarty. the TST will stack good with it.

make sure you get gauges....its a necessity.

 

First......GAUGES (if you don't already have them).

I would then go to the exhaust & intake. Get some better flow in & out before throwing more fuel to the engine.

As stated by rip, the DiabloSport Predator/Puck or the Smarty would be my choice of programmers. I have run several products on my 03 and by far the DiabloSport Predator/Puck was the best for power & additional MPG.

With that being said, I have now opted to purchase a Smarty & see how well it compares to the DiabloSport.

I got a used Smarty Junior on my 03. I have it on the 70 hp setting and it seems to work well. Very smooth power, with no smoke that I've seen.

I ordered gauges before the Smarty but haven't received them yet. I ordered a set of Isspros. I had bad luck with Autometers on my 01.

This truck has a lot different power then my 01 with the Juice and Mach 1.6s. That thing had a powerband to it. The 03 is just smooth linear power.

My next mods are valve body and torque converter. I'm saving up.

I plan to do 5" exhaust(already have the 04.5 elbow to run 5" turbo back) and some kind of intake.

Fuel pump and turbo upgrade are after that. Maybe Flux 1 or 2s and CP3 down the road.
