Finally Smarty

ok this is for all of you smarty gurus. I finally got an opportunity to get out of what i had and purchase a smarty! So what i want to know from all of you is what version i have, what are my options as far as new software, what do you guys run your smartys on, and what do you think would be good for my truck.

All i can tell you about my smarty is that The actual device says smarty and catcher software inside. and when i plug it into my ecm it comes up with [ Smarty CR]
[V:4.00A D:1.00A]

Thanks for any and all advice or tips.

I run mine as low as I can but I have a different animal than you I think.
sw1
Tq 1
rp 1
timing 2
shift defuel on
rpm limit stock

When I pull I go to
sw7
shift defuel off
rp2
tq1
timiing 2
If you can get a beta tune 4.2 is the strongest imo you might as well just get the TnT revo off the web site and use it.

I run the TNT on
sw7
tq2
rp3
timing default
shift defuel stock(cant remember if its on or off)

4.2 was a good Dyno recipe but it was to smokey on my truck to drive daily.
4.4 was my favorite for a daily driver before going with TNT Revo..

TNT revo is still a little smokey on my truck but it is mostly from the Silver 62.
I need some bigger sticks and CP3 to light it a little quicker...

Current Smarty programs can be downloaded from here (free). http://www.madselectronics.com/download.html

For the 4.2 you will need to contact Bob Wagner.

The Revo TNT is strong. Need an aftermarket lift pump since you will drain the rail with the TNT. And will cut the life span of the stock tranny and overheat the stock turbo. Gets pretty toasty set to level 5 on my truck.

Only issue with the TNT on our '03-04 engines is a timing pop when set to the default timing. Some can make it go away using the aftermarket injectors settings.

I may be biased but for a 03-04 I would suggest a beta program, to this day the revo nor TNt runs as strong on my truck than the betas. I would try to get the 4.4 until you get some more mods.

Honestly either way that little ol he341 will be screaming for mercy, TNT or beta

All the Betas are wild torque management and not recommended for the stock trans. Do the trans first.

I agree totally. But if you have good self control you can make do.

Keep your priorities in line, if you forget about whats needed to support these programs you can and will screw up.

Just for clarification and accuracy, betas 4.2 and 4.3 were wild TM. Beta 4.4 is moderate TM.
