ez edge trouble

ez edge trouble

I installed a ez in my dads 04 305 and about a 100 miles later the check engine lite came on and the truck jerked around anybody have an idia what the truoble mite be?

Check your connections. Something is probably loose or reversed.

I agree with localnet. Make sure the connections are all tight.. Did you buy a used EZ? Possibly someone sold you a bad unit....

Call Edge Products on Monday. They have pretty good customer service...

Did you try removing the unit completely and checking that all the pins inside the connectors are straight? Maybe you bent one putting them together.
Did you inspect all the wiring to make sure something didn't melt. If it worked fine for a short period and then started having the problems, that may be the cause...

You will need to pull the codes, if you haven't already. Edge will need them in order to diagnose what is going on.

And the rest of us are interested as well!

Seriously, Edge is a stand-up outfit, they should be able to get everything right for you.

May want to make sure they sent the proper box....did they send one for the 305/555 or the 325/600 ?

wiggle the wires going into the fuel pressure sensor while the motor is idling. they had a bad batch of grommets that over time would get loose and have a hit/miss connection.
