Extrude Hone’s Injectors
The reason for replacing them is because the tip on the tube becomes deformed from being torqued into the injector. If the seal isn't perfect, that's how leaks happen.
Per Cummins service manual, the tubes and copper washer should be replace every time a injectors is out. You can probably get away with using them more than once but, each time they become more deformed.
the cooper shims are suppose to be 1.5mm exactly. Any less and you've move the injector down a little and it can be enough to where it doesn't seal right.

Where can I get new tubes and washers from? I don't want any leaks!! Rather it all be new anyways.. So if Im putting a whole new body and the honed tip back in does it matter which cylinder which tip goes in?
Heck thats not much at all.. I rather spend that little bit of money then worry about a injector leaking.. Im going to be installing all new marine cummins bodies. Since I were told they can handle pressure alot easier. When I send my tips of and install them back onto the new marine injectors do I have to be careful on which cylinder I install them back into?
