Hey everyone im looking forward to do some upgrades on the CR in my signature, the first i want to get is the right injectors since im goin to use twins in the 135-150lb/min area, i read some threads here and on comp diesel also that gethoned.com upgrade the injectors for around $300 has anyone tried em? i would like anything in the 200 hp range how much % overstock flow are they?

Most folks go with F1's or DDP's. Very few do the extrude hone. Oh, and by the way, going cheap on injectors is not very wise. One mistake and you will burn up a hole...

 

yea thats what i thought ppl would say, a friend of mine has F1 and they are great, thats top shelf!

 

A couple of guys on here run extrude hones, maybe they will reply and give you more insight.

 

Extrude hone tips are good if you stay around 100hp or less. I don't really trust a tip honed out more than that.

Seen 650hp made on a set of 90's in an '06 single turbo'd truck. They run very smooth and don't smoke bad.

For 200hp injectors, Don at F1 is the only way to go.
