Exhaust Stack + Carwash =

I would like to put a single stack in (roof height) but I run the truck through the wash about twice a week. What kind of issues is this going to bring up?

Does anyone have experience with this????????

What to do....................... What NOT to do.....................

I can not stand to hand wash it myself and the high school kid up the block wants more than the monthly membership at the local full service wash!!!!

Aint gonna happen unless you get something to cover it when in the wash, if you do go through you will need to wash again due to the black slug everywhere.

i would not imagine it would be all that good on the stack when the brushes are pounding it. seems to me that it would try to rip the stack out of the pipe. you would have to have a killer stack mount. I know tritont has some awesom stack clamps.

I have had my turnouts on for over 2 years and have not one issue. They are sparkly clean every time. Aaron

yep... just took my truck through a Automated carwash with the 7" single..I kept my engine reved to about 1800 rpm while I drove through and had ZERO soot on my truck when I was done
I have been scared to do it since I installed the stack...I even made a thread about it a few months ago

I wish I would have tried it sooner

this is a chaindrive style carwash with chamie(sp?) brushes

Ive seen some 18wheelers with flat top stacks that have holes drilled in the 90 for water to drain out and even saw this on spike tv trucks series.
