Question exhaust and muffler question

I know there has been a lot of talk about the exhaust system and changing to something like a Donaldson muffler. If the factory system is replaced, I think there is a sensor in there, what is done with this so it doesn't flash on the dash, or whatever it does? Is it replaced in the aftermarket exhaust?

What is the sensor for anyway--polution control junk???

No sensors that I am aware of. I just replaced every inch of my exhaust and made my own 4" from the turbo back and I had no sensors. The 600s have a cat but I think that's it. If you install a EGT guage you have to put a sensor in but most of us put it pre turbo so it's not a concern....

No sensors on mine. I went with a Geno's MEP (prebent pipe to replace the muff). The cat is in tact for now but it sounds great!

Only problem I have is finding a muffler shop that bends 4" pipe. I bought the 51" Nelson and I'm having a difficult time finding a shop with a 4" pipe bender......any thoughts out there?

You don't need to bend the pipe. Just modify the hangers so everything lines up.

install a flowmaster performance muffler, its offset already so your exhaust stays normal, and has a deep throaty sound, not a 4 cyl honda car sound ha ha
