1. my truck is not a show truck it is dirty, offroad all the time so i dont need to spend the extra $250 on flashy exhaust system.
2. the tip i have sticks way out and looks tacky on the stock pipe so i want to put the mbrp end pipe on it to set the tip back in a little more.
3. i dont want to cut my factory system up, i just wanna take it off and bolt up the new one.

I like the magnaflow. I would desribe it just as they did the mbrp. About like
stock at idle, very little if ANY difference. If you get on it,2500+, you can here it talk....

I'd get the least expensive between the two brands. I'd say by what's on here, they sound pretty much the same.

Dude don't buy silverline, it came at a good price but rubs against my shock (making the whole truck shake at 70) and fell off...no crap fell out of the rear mounts. I was lucky the whole thing didn't fall off down the road.

I'm hoping my stainless doesnt end up looking like his but he did get the lower grade so what else could one expect? You get what you pay for. My truck is not offroad much but it's definitely not a show queen. I have to at #3 you'll see what I mean when you get the bolts all loosened up. You better have your grinder and sawzall handy

The hangers weren't located as good as factory but they were close enough that with a little jimmying around everything went where it was supposed to. doesn't rub on the shocks and clears everything nicely. I didn't have to bend anything and it's all hanging from the stock rubber biscuits or whatever those things are called.

It hangs a little low in that bottom right corner photo. I loosed it up and adjusted it after the pics cause I thought it was too low but it's just right now. It also looks like it's hitting the spare but its really not even close that's just a bad camera angle.

Ok, where the muffler slips on over the back end of the cat. You will have to take your grinder and carefully slice some 4' or 5' long slots into the muffler there not cutting down too deeply into the cat. You'll see when the muffler metal turns blue from the grinder you're almost cut through to the cat then.

I cut three slots roughly 33 degrees apart from each other then took a hammer and cold chisel peeling the muffler back. Where the exhaust pipe slips onto the back of the muffler I just hacked through that with a sawzall. I also cut through all the hangers with a sawzall to drop everything down.

Use some wd40 on the rubber biscuits to soften them up and make em pliable where theyll come off easy. And there were also some round metal clips that kept the biscuits from coming off the frame hangers. I yanked those off with pliers they weren't really necessary anyways. That's about it, btw I edited that last post with some pics of my system

See top right pic. I can take a better close up but it'll have to wait til tomorrow sometime. In case youre wondering though, if you have a short bed truck like mine, you won't need any pipe between the mbrp muffler and the cat. The new muffler will just slip right over the cat. If you've got a long bed the kit comes with a piece of pipe to go between the muffler and cat. Looks like it was a little long though and probably needed to be trimmed down.
